The Villa Lanterna lighthouse was originally built in 1881 in the south-eastern part of the island of Vir during the Austro-Hungarian rule and is an official culture monument of zero category. The lighthouse building is made of stone and located in a remote area of untouched nature, surrounded by hectares of pine forests, on an extremely attractive rocky and sandy beach suitable for families with children. The interior and exterior have been completely renovated in 2012 in a mix of traditional Mediterranean and modern style, equipped with luxurious wooden furniture and leather furnishings. It is categorized as a 5-star holiday home and is intended for accommodation for up to 8 people. The villa is spread over two floors with a total surface area of 180 m². On the upper floor there are four bedrooms, two of which are 21 m², the third is 17 m² and the fourth is 14 m².
The bedrooms are furnished with double beds, a bathroom with a bathtub, an air conditioning and an LCD TV with satellite channels. In addition, the two larger bedrooms have access to the balcony surrounding the lighthouse tower and offering an unforgettable panoramic view over the sea and sunset.
The common rooms of the house are located on the ground floor where the kitchen is equipped with a filter coffee machine, an espresso machine, a microwave oven, an electric water cooker, a toaster, a fridge with a freezer, a stove with electric and gas cooker, oven and dishwasher. Furthermore, there is a dining room with a mini-bar and a wine cellar, a living room with 130 cm LCD TV with satellite channels, and a practical bathroom with a washing machine and a drier. All rooms and areas in the house are air-conditioned. Wireless internet and a safe are available.
