The quinta is next to several national parks like Estrela. Beautiful nature and lot of interesting places to visit.
Near Oliviera do Hospital so you can go to a supermarket within 10 minutes. Various city’s to visit. From Porto to Coimbra and smaller villages. All with the pleasant people of Portugal.

Casa Palmeira and casa Agave are located at Quinta da Encavalada. It is located on the outskirts of the village of Senhor das Almas near Oliveira do Hospital. Two beautiful granite holiday homes (side by side) are available for year-round stays on this very beautiful authentic Portuguese manor farm of 3.5 hectares of greenery. A private pool is available on the lower grounds for some cooling down. Come and enjoy!
Booking holiday homes Casa Palmeira and Casa Agave in combination means you have this holiday location for your group alone. They are cosily furnished detached holiday homes restored from the original granite walls. From the verandas and the house's balcony, you have great views over the grounds and, in the distance, the mountain ridge of Caramulo. This holiday complex has 5 bedrooms with a total of 10 permanent beds.
Included in the rental of Quinta da Encavalada is:
Linen package for bed/bath and kitchen (changed weekly for longer stays)
Final cleaning costs
WiFi/TV in each cottage
Heating by wood stove/fuel wood
Water, gas and electricity (up to 8kWh per day per cottage) included
2x Cosy sitting and dining area for 5 persons
2x Spacious, open kitchen with good facilities (such as 4-burner gas cooker, microwave, fridge/freezer)
Spacious bedroom with a double bed, one room with a single and double bed in casa Palmeira and one room with a single and double bed and two rooms with a single bed in casa Agave.
Bathroom with washbasin, toilet and shower and bathroom with bath/shower, toilet and washbasin. Drying rack available
Verandas with outdoor furniture, parasol and gas BBQ (charcoal BBQ not allowed due to risk of natural fires)
Smoking only on the veranda
Parking on own property near the cottage or the general car park
Max 2 dogs allowed per cottage, at extra cleaning costs
There is a lot of gardens surrounding the holiday homes. Also a private swimming pool if the location is booked for both houses.
There are various specific items on our Quinta. Parking your car for free. Washing machine and dryer are available for a small fee. The WLAN is free of charge for you. Dogs are allowed in the houses, max 2 each house for a small extra cleaning fee.
Baby (up to 2 years) free
Baby package to be booked separately (+2,5 euro/night). Baby package consists of;
* baby chair
* camp bed including mattress (60x120cm)
* baby bath
* small round inflatable pool (61x15cm) for outdoors
* baby playpen (88x88cm).
* Linen not provided.
Dogs are welcome, max 2 per cottage. There is an additional cost for final cleaning.
Electricity above 8 kWh/day = 0.40/kWh
On the day of arrival, the accommodation is available from 15:00.
On the day of departure you must leave the property by 10:00 at the latest.
Rental Prices
All rates apply for max. 4 guests. An added €10,50 per night will be charged for each additional guest.

Please note: The rental contract is always concluded between the tenant and the landlord. Travanto is just the intermediary.

Please note: For usual touristic services, such as overnight stays, is no right of withdrawal valid. This derogation applies in the case of bookings of tourist services (eg accommodations) that are fixed in time, the right of withdrawal in the case of long-distance transactions and also in the case of contracts concluded outside business premises (former doorstep selling) is suspended; § 312 g Abs. 2 Nr. 9 BGB.
If there are only 5 days between the booking and the arrival date, you will immediately receive the contact details of the landlord and the address of the accommodation via e-mail. In the case you booked an accommodation of our cooperation partners, you will immediately receive the booking confirmation as well as the contact details of the landlord and the property address. Please note our payment modalities and conditions at any time (see question no. 4).
